Terms of Use

Pre-launch note: the final publishing legal entity and governing law will be added before App Store submission. Unless a custom EULA is published in App Store Connect, Apple's Standard EULA applies to the app license.

What the app does

Flatscan lets you scan documents, import images or PDFs, store them locally, run on-device OCR, search recognized text, and export clean or searchable PDF files.

Flatscan is a document utility. It does not provide legal, financial, tax, medical, or professional advice. You are responsible for reviewing exported documents, OCR text, filenames, and any information you rely on.

Your documents

You keep your rights to the documents you scan, import, title, search, and export. Flatscan does not claim ownership of your documents.

Local storage and exports

The app stores documents in its local app container. If you delete the app, erase your device, or lose access to your device, local documents may be lost unless you have exported them or they are otherwise included in your Apple backup setup.

When you export or share a document, the exported copy is controlled by the destination you choose, such as Files, iCloud Drive, Mail, Messages, AirDrop, or another app.

Subscriptions and Pro features

Flatscan may offer optional Pro subscriptions through Apple StoreKit and the App Store. The app may offer a 14-day full-access trial before a paid subscription begins. The exact features, price, trial availability, renewal period, and subscription terms are shown in the App Store purchase sheet before you confirm a purchase.

Subscriptions are handled by Apple. They renew according to Apple App Store terms unless canceled through your Apple Account settings before the renewal date. Refunds, billing issues, and payment method issues are handled by Apple according to Apple policies.

Acceptable use

Privacy

Your use of Flatscan is also covered by the Flatscan Privacy Policy.

Support

Support is available at [email protected]. We may not be able to recover documents that exist only on your device, especially if the app was deleted, the device was erased, or exported copies were deleted from their destinations.

Disclaimers

Flatscan is provided "as is" and "as available" to the maximum extent permitted by law. OCR can be inaccurate. PDF exports should be reviewed before use in important workflows.
